Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 GMC Safari and 2003 Chevrolet Astro. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove the rear bench seat from the vehicle.
  2. The rear bench seat release lever is a 2 stage mechanism. In order to release the latch, 2 levels of lift effort are required:
    1. 2.1. A low lift effort to overcome the first stage
    2. 2.2. A second lift effort in order to fully release the latch mechanism

  3. Release the latch mechanism.
  4. Remove the rear bench seat from the vehicle.

  5. Remove the front seat riser bolts from the rear bench seat.
  6. Remove the rear seat riser bolts from the rear bench seat.
  7. Remove the seat risers from the rear bench seat.
