Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 GMC Safari and 2003 Chevrolet Astro. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove the bucket seat from the vehicle. Refer to SEAT REPLACEMENT - BUCKET  .
  2. Remove the seat back cover and pad from the seat back frame. Refer to SEAT BACK COVER AND PAD REPLACEMENT (YC5 AND YC6)  or SEAT BACK COVER AND PAD REPLACEMENT (YC7)  .
  3. Disconnect the lumbar plate cable (1) from the lumbar plate.

  4. Pull rearward on the lumbar plate corners to release it from the seat back frame.

  5. Remove the lumbar plate from the seat back frame.
