Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 GMC Safari and 2003 Chevrolet Astro. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove the garnish molding. Refer to GARNISH MOLDING REPLACEMENT - SLIDING DOOR in Interior Trim.
  2. Remove the trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - SLIDING DOOR .

Important:  Water deflectors seal the inner panel. Water deflectors prevent water from entering into the body. A strip of adhesive between the deflector and the door secures the deflector.

  3. Peel the water deflector (1) away from the door.
