Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 GMC Safari and 2003 Chevrolet Astro. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove the trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - DOOR .
  2. Use a sharp bladed tool in order to separate the water deflector at the perforations. Refer to WATER DEFLECTOR REPLACEMENT - FRONT DOOR  .
  3. Remove the power door lock actuator in order to remove the remote lever rod.
  4. Disconnect the power door lock actuator wiring harness.
  5. Use a 6 mm (1/4 in) drill bit in order to remove the actuator to door rivets.
  6. Remove the actuator from the door.
