Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 GMC Safari and 2003 Chevrolet Astro. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the instrument cluster to the instrument panel:
    1. 1.1. Set the cluster in place in the instrument panel.
    2. 1.2. Align the cluster with the electrical connector on the instrument panel.
    3. 1.3. Gently press the cluster in order to seat the cluster into the instrument panel and onto the electrical connector.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the four screws that retain the instrument cluster tot he instrument panel.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the four screws that retain the instrument cluster tot he instrument panel 2 N.m (18 lb in).

  3. Install the instrument cluster trim plate. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) CLUSTER .
