Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 GMC Safari and 2003 Chevrolet Astro. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the hoist to the rear crossmember.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the hoist mounting bolts and nuts.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the hoist mounting bolts and nuts to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).

  3. Install the shaft to the hoist.
  4. Install the pin and retainer to the shaft.
  5. Lower the vehicle.
  6. Install the spare tire to the carrier.
