Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the instrument panel assembly. Refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
  2. Remove the air distribution duct. Refer to AIR DISTRIBUTOR DUCT REPLACEMENT .
  3. Disconnect the vacuum hoses mode actuator.
  4. Disconnect the defrost actuator vacuum hose from the defrost actuator.
  5. Depress the retaining clip and remove the defrost actuator from the air distribution housing.
  6. Remove the defroster door (2).
