Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the IP extension. Refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) EXTENSION REPLACEMENT in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
  2. Remove the floor air outlet duct from the air distributor.

  3. Remove the bucket seats. Refer to SEAT REPLACEMENT - BUCKET in Seats.
  4. Remove the front section of the carpet, if equipped. Refer to MAT/CARPET REPLACEMENT FRONT FLOOR in Interior Trim.
  5. Remove the retaining nuts from the floor outlet duct, if equipped.
  6. Remove the floor air outlet from the ducts to the rear seat, if equipped.
