Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 GMC Safari and 2003 Chevrolet Astro. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle with safety stands. Refer to JACKING AND LIFTING in General Information.
  2. Remove the tire and the wheel. Refer to TIRE AND WHEEL REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION in Tires and Wheels.
  3. Remove the brake rotor. Refer to BRAKE ROTOR (FRONT) in Disc Brakes.

    Important:  Do not hammer on a wheel stud.

  4. Remove the wheel stud using J 43631.
