Removal Procedure

- Raise the vehicle. Refer to JACKING AND LIFTING in General Information.
- Remove the tire and wheel. Refer to TIRE AND WHEEL REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION in Tires and Wheels.
- Remove the idler arm mounting bolts.
- Disconnect the idler arms for the frame. Move the steering linkage to gain access to the stabilizer shaft bracket mounting bolts.
- Remove the stabilizer shaft links. Refer to STABILIZER SHAFT LINK REPLACEMENT (RWD) or STABILIZER SHAFT LINK REPLACEMENT (AWD) .
- Remove the stabilizer shaft bracket mounting bolt and the nut (left hand).
- Remove the stabilizer shaft bracket mounting bolts (right hand).
- Remove the stabilizer shaft brackets.
- Remove the stabilizer shaft insulators from the stabilizer shaft.
- Remove the stabilizer shaft.
- Inspect all of the parts for wear or damage.
