Removal Procedure

CAUTION: To help avoid personal injury or damage to the vehicle, a bent, cracked, or damaged fan blade or housing should always be replaced.
  1. Remove the upper fan shroud. Refer to FAN SHROUD REPLACEMENT - UPPER .
  2. Remove the fan clutch assembly using the J 46406  in a counter clockwise direction.
  3. Remove the fan clutch assembly from the vehicle.
  4. Remove the four bolts retaining the fan blade to the fan clutch.
  5. Remove the fan blade from the fan clutch.
