Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 GMC Safari and 2003 Chevrolet Astro. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the antenna cable to the vehicle.
  2. Install the antenna cable though the grommet on the cowl.

  3. Install the antenna cable to the clip at the HVAC module.
  4. Roll the instrument panel up. Refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
  5. Install the radio. Refer to RADIO REPLACEMENT .
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  6. Install the antenna mounting bolts.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the antenna mounting bolts to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

  7. Install the air inlet grille. Refer to AIR INLET GRILLE PANEL REPLACEMENT in Body Front End.
  8. Install the radio antenna mast. Refer to FIXED ANTENNA MAST REPLACEMENT .

  9. Install the wiper arms. Refer to WIPER ARM REPLACEMENT in Wipers/Washer Systems.
  10. Verify component operation.
