Installation Procedure

Install the wiper transmission on the vehicle.
NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
Install the transmission to cowl nuts.
Tighten

Tighten the transmission nuts to 14 N.m (10 lb ft).

Important: Assemble the wiper transmission to the crank arm past the second detent so that the seal is compressed to a maximum height of 25.5 mm (1.0 in).

Lubricate the inside of the socket with a lithium-based grease (GM P/N 1050109, 1052196, Canadian P/N 5264008 or equivalent).
Connect the transmission drive link to the wiper motor crank arm using the J 39529.
Install the air inlet grille panel. Refer to AIR INLET GRILLE PANEL REPLACEMENT in Body Front End.
Install the wiper arms. Refer to WIPER ARM REPLACEMENT .
