Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 GMC Safari and 2003 Chevrolet Astro. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Turn OFF the headlamp switch.
  2. Open the rear doors.
  3. Remove the screws that retain the tail lamp to the body.
  4. Remove the lamp sockets from the back of the tail lamp by using the following
    1. Squeeze the tang at the electrical connector.
    2. Turn the bulb and the base.

    Important:  Do not remove the grease from the socket.

  5. Remove the bulbs from the sockets.
