Parking Brake Pedal: Installation

  1. Install parking brake cable housing to parking brake pedal assembly. Ensure that the locking tabs secure the housing to the assembly.
  2. Connect parking brake cable to lever assembly. Bend locating tab over the cable.
  3. Install lever assembly to vehicle.
  4. Install bolts. Tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  5. Connect connector to parking brake switch.
  6. Install release handle to instrument panel. Ensure locking tabs secure the handle to the instrument panel.
  7. Install release handle grommet and cable to the parking brake pedal assembly.
  8. Adjust parking brake. See PARKING BRAKE  under ADJUSTMENTS.
