Parking Brake Cable (Left Rear): Installation

  1. Install cable. Take care to correctly route the cable through the guide and bracket.
  2. Install cable to the lever.
  3. Install cable to the backing plate by pressing the cable into place until locking tabs snap into place.
  4. Install cable at the shock absorber bracket and install bolt. Tighten bolt.
  5. Install cable to the mounting bracket until the locking tabs snap into place.
  6. Connect cable end to the equalizer.
  7. Remove safety stands and lower vehicle.
  8. Adjust parking brake. See PARKING BRAKE  under ADJUSTMENTS.
