Parking Brake Shoes

  1. Raise and support vehicle.
  2. Remove rear brake rotors.
  3. Set the Drum-To-Brake Shoe Clearance Gauge (J-21177-A) so that it contacts the inside diameter of the rotor.
  4. Position the Drum-To-Brake Shoe Clearance Gauge over the shoe and lining at the widest point.
  5. Turn adjuster nut until lining just contacts the clearance gauge.
  6. Repeat adjustment procedure for the opposite side.
  7. The clearance between the parking brake shoe and rotor is 0.026" (0.6604 mm).
