Parking Brake Cable

NOTE:
Before you adjust the parking brake, verify that parking brake shoes are adjusted to provide a clearance of 0.026" (0.6604 mm).
- Raise and support vehicle. Rotate rear wheels and note amount of brake and driveline drag.
- Tighten the adjuster, periodically turning the rear wheels by hand until the drag begins to increase.
- Lower vehicle.
- Fully apply and release parking brake lever to the floor 3 times.
- Raise vehicle.
- Repeat step 2.
- Loosen adjuster until brake drag is the same as noted in step 1.
- Lower vehicle.
