Spring Hanger Replacement: Installation

  1. Install the hanger to the frame. Install the hanger mounting bolts. See Figure.
  2. Install the hanger mounting nuts. Tighten the hanger mounting nuts to 100 N.m (74 lb ft). Raise the rear axle. Install the leaf spring to hanger mounting bolt. Tighten the leaf spring to hanger mounting bolt to 100 N.m (74 lb ft).
  3. Install the fuel tank. Install the muffler. Refer to Muffler Replacement in ENGINE EXHAUST SYSTEM .
  4. Install the lower shock absorber mounting bolt and nut. Tighten the lower shock absorber mounting nut to 107 N.m (79 lb ft). Remove the rear axle support. Lower the vehicle.
