Diagnostic Aids

DTC B1001 is an indication that restraints identification stored in BCM and SDM DO NOT match or that VIN's stored in SDM and PCM DO NOT match. If BCM or PCM were replaced, modules need to be reprogrammed for proper operation. In addition, if BCM or SDM were replaced, Vehicle Theft Deterrent (VTD) system will need to be reprogrammed.
