Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 GMC Safari and 2003 Chevrolet Astro. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the assist step pad as follows:
    1. 1.1. Align the assist step pad to the assist step plate and press downward firmly until seated.
    2. 1.2. The assist step pad nuts are to be hand torque.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the assist step pad nuts

    Tighten 

    Tighten the assist step pads nuts to 8 N.m (71 lb in).

  3. Lower the vehicle.
