Removal Procedure

  1. Raise the vehicle to a suitable height.
  2. Remove the front section of the assist step extension. Refer to ASSIST STEP PLATE REPLACEMENT  .
  3. Remove the screws from the left rear outer edge of the assist step extension.
  4. Lift upward on the assist step extension until fully released from the retainer.

  5. Remove the screws from the right rear inner and outer wheel well.
  6. Open the sliding door to expose the screw.
  7. Lift upward on the assist step extension until fully released from the retainer.

  8. Remove the rear section of the assist step extension.
