Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 GMC Safari and 2003 Chevrolet Astro. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
CAUTION:
  1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM in SIR.
  2. Remove the steering wheel inflator module. Refer to SUPPLEMENTAL INFLATABLE RESTRAINT SYSTEM in SIR.
  3. Remove the horn plunger contact from the steering wheel.
  4. Remove the horn switch to steering wheel mounting screws.
  5. Remove the horn switch.
