Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 GMC Safari and 2003 Chevrolet Astro. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the horn switch to the steering wheel.
    NOTE:

  2. Install the horn switch to the steering wheel with mounting screws.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the screws to 5.5 N.m (50 lb in).

  3. Install the horn plunger contact to the cam tower in the steering wheel.
  4. Install the steering wheel inflator module to the steering wheel. Refer to SUPPLEMENTAL INFLATABLE RESTRAINT SYSTEM in SIR.
  5. Enable the SIR system. Refer to DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM in SIR.
