Installation Procedure

  1. Install the hood release cable to the hood latch. Refer to HOOD LATCH RELEASE CABLE REPLACEMENT in Body Front End.
    2. Fig 1: Removing & Installing Hood Release Cable

    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  2. Install the screws that retain the hood release lever to the cowl side trim panel. Tighten:  Tighten the hood release lever screws to 8 N.m (71 lb in).
  3. Install the left cowl side trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - COWL SIDE .
