Removal Procedure (Rear)

    CAUTION: Ensure that the vehicle is properly supported and squarely positioned. To help avoid personal injury when a vehicle is on a hoist, provide additional support for the vehicle on the opposite end from which the components are being removed.
    NOTE: Excessive flexing of the exhaust pipe may damage the flex coupling. Limit flexing to 12 degrees.
  1. Hoist the vehicle.

    IMPORTANT: Do not apply silicon products to the oxygen sensor.
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the oxygen sensor (O2S).

  5. Remove the exhaust pipe flange to rear exhaust manifold nuts (3).

  7. Remove the exhaust pipe flange to intermediate pipe nuts (3).

  9. Separate the hanger from the rubber isolator.
  10. Separate the flange from the studs, and remove the rear exhaust pipe.
  11. Remove the oxygen sensors if transferring to new exhaust pipes.
