Removal & Installation

  1. Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM .
  2. Move applicable front seat to full forward position. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove lower B-pillar trim panel. Remove Connection Position Assurance (CPA) clip from SIS electrical connector. See Fig 1. Disconnect SIS electrical connector. Remove SIS mounting bolts. Remove SIS.
  3. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten SIS mounting bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Activate air bag system.
