Installation Procedure

  1. Install the transaxle range switch lever and lever nut.

    Tighten:  Tighten the transaxle range switch lever nut to 16 N.m (12 lb ft).

  3. Snap the cable end fitting onto the ball stud of the transaxle range switch lever. An audible snap will be heard when properly installed.

  5. Install the battery tray bracket.
  6. Position the battery tray bracket and install and tighten the screws.

    Tighten:  Tighten the battery tray bracket screws to 16 N.m (12 lb ft).

  7. Install the battery cooling box. Refer to Battery Box Replacement installation procedure in Battery.

  9. Install the battery.
    1. Insert the battery and tighten the battery hold-down screw.

      Tighten:  Tighten the battery hold-down screw to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).

    2. Connect the positive battery cable to the battery.

      Tighten:  Tighten the positive battery cable bolts to 17 N.m (13 lb ft).

    3. Connect the negative battery cable to the battery.

      Tighten:  Tighten the negative battery cable bolts to 17 N.m (13 lb ft).

    4. Install the battery cooling box cover and install and tighten the screws.

      Tighten:  Tighten the battery cooling box cover screws to 2 N.m (1.5 lb ft).

  10. Reprogram the radio stations.
