Third Gear Band Apply Tube Removal

Tools Required:

J 28585 Snap Ring Remover. See Special Tools .

Remove the 2 third gear band apply retainer bolts/screws (50).
Remove the third gear band apply tube retainer (51).

IMPORTANT:

Do not bend or damage the apply tube or the O-ring.
Do not damage the transmission case sealing surface.

Using J 28585 , remove the third gear band apply tube (52) and O-ring (53). See Special Tools .
