Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to LIFTING & JACKING VEHICLE .
  2. Remove the right rear tire and wheel assembly. Refer to TIRE AND WHEEL REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  3. Remove the right wheel drive shaft. Refer to WHEEL DRIVE SHAFT REPLACEMENT -- REAR
  4. Remove the differential output shaft oil seal (1). Do not damage the differential sealing surfaces.
