Removal & Installation

  1. Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM .
  2. Remove driver seat. Remove front door stepwell mat. Fold back carpet to access SDM. Remove Connector Position Assurance (CPA) clip from SDM connector and disconnect connector. See Fig 1. Remove SDM mounting nuts. Remove SDM.
  3. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten SDM nuts and driver seat bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Activate air bag system.
