Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Install the seat belt retractor into the T-slot in the lower quarter trim panel.
NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
Install the retractor seat bolt (3).
Tighten

Tighten the seat belt retractor bolt (3) to 68 N.m (50 lb ft).

Install the anchor plate to the seat stud.
Install the anchor plate nut.
Tighten

Tighten the anchor plate nut to 42 N.m (31 lb ft).

Install the intermediate guide bolts (1).
Tighten

Tighten the seat belt intermediate guide bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
Install the lower quarter trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - REAR QUARTER LOWER (SEDAN) .
Install the upper quarter trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - REAR QUARTER UPPER (SEDAN) .
Position the seat belt guide loop to the upper quarter trim panel.

Install the seat belt guide loop bolt.
Tighten

Tighten the seat belt guide loop bolt to 42 N.m (31 lb ft).
Close the seat belt guide loop cover.
Install the rear seat back. Refer to SEAT BACK REPLACEMENT -- REAR (STATIONARY) or SEAT BACK REPLACEMENT -- REAR (FOLDING) .
Install the rear seat cushion. Refer to SEAT CUSHION REPLACEMENT -- REAR .
