Installation Procedure

  1. Install the outlet heater hose.
  2. Connect the outlet heater hose to the auxiliary heater outlet line.
  3. Reposition the outlet heater hose clamp at the auxiliary heater outlet line using the J 38185. 
  4. Connect the outlet heater hose to the heater core.
  5. Reposition the outlet heater hose clamp at the heater core using the J 38185.

  7. Connect the outlet heater hose (3) to the outlet pipe (4).
  8. Install the transmission fluid filler tube. Refer to FILLER TUBE AND SEAL REPLACEMENT .
  9. Connect the throttle and cruise control cables to the TBI mounting bracket.
  10. Install the air cleaner cover and intake tube. Refer to Air Cleaner Intake Duct Replacement on page 6-786  in Engine Controls - 3.4L.
  11. Connect the vacuum hose to the brake booster.
  12. Install the left wiper arm linkage.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  13. Install the left wiper arm linkage nuts.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the nuts to 5 N.m (44 lb in).

  14. Fill the cooling system. Refer to DRAINING AND FILLING COOLING SYSTEM .
