Installation Procedure

  1. Install the inlet heater hose.
  2. Connect the inlet heater hose to the auxiliary heater inlet line.
  3. Reposition the inlet heater hose clamp at the auxiliary heater inlet line using the J 38185. 
  4. Connect the inlet heater hose to the heater core.
  5. Reposition the inlet heater hose clamp at the heater core using the J 38185.

  6. Connect the inlet heater hose (1) to the inlet pipe (2).
  7. Install the transmission fluid filler tube. Refer to FILLER TUBE AND SEAL REPLACEMENT .
  8. Connect the throttle and cruise control cables to the TBI mounting bracket.
  9. Install the air cleaner cover and intake tube. Refer to Air Cleaner Intake Duct Replacement on page 6-786  in Engine Controls - 3.4L.
  10. Connect the vacuum hose to the brake booster.
  11. Install the left wiper arm linkage.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  12. Install the left wiper arm linkage nuts.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the nuts to 5 N.m (44 lb in).

  13. Fill the cooling system. Refer to DRAINING AND FILLING COOLING SYSTEM .
