Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Pontiac Montana, 2002 Oldsmobile Silhouette, and 2002 Chevrolet Venture. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove the right IP insulator. Refer to CLOSEOUT/INSULATOR PANEL REPLACEMENT - RIGHT .
  2. Remove the left IP insulator. Refer to CLOSEOUT/INSULATOR PANEL REPLACEMENT - LEFT .
  3. Remove the center console brackets. Refer to BRACKET REPLACEMENT - CONSOLE FLOOR .
  4. Disconnect the rear floor outlet duct from the heater outlet duct.
  5. Remove the rear floor outlet duct.
  6. If equipped, disconnect the DVD wiring harness from the IP support bracket.

  8. Remove the screws retaining the heater outlet duct.
  9. Remove the heater outlet duct.

  11. Remove the screws retaining the heater core cover.
  12. Remove the heater core cover.
