Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Pontiac Montana, 2002 Oldsmobile Silhouette, and 2002 Chevrolet Venture. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove the electrical center cover.
  2. Locate the compressor relay.

    Important: 

    • Always note the orientation of the relay.
    • Make sure the electrical center is secure, as not to put added stress on the wires or terminals.

  4. Using the J 43244  (1) position the tool on opposing corners of the compressor relay (2).
    NOTE: Use J 43244  to pull the relay straight out from the electrical center terminals. The use of pliers or a flat bladed tool could damage the electrical center.
  5. Remove the compressor relay (2) from the electrical center.
