Installation Procedure

  1. Install the left air temperature door.
  2. Install the left air temperature door lever.

  3. Align and install the upper module case to the lower module case.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  4. Install the lower HVAC module screws.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the screws to 0.9 N.m (8 lb in).

  5. Install the lower HVAC module retaining screw.

  6. Install the heater core.
  7. Install the heater core pipe retaining screw.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the screw to 0.9 N.m (8 lb in).

  8. Install the heater core cover.
  9. Install the heater core cover screws.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the screws to 0.9 N.m (8 lb in).

  10. Install the heater outlet duct.
  11. Install the heater outlet duct screws.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the screws to 0.9 N.m (8 lb in).

  12. Install the HVAC module upper retaining screw.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the screw to 0.9 N.m (8 lb in).

  13. Install the right HVAC module mounting bracket.
  14. Install the right HVAC module mounting bracket screws.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the screw to 1.8 N.m (16 lb in).

  15. Install the HVAC module assembly to dash panel sound barrier seal.

  16. Install the air inlet housing.
  17. Install the air inlet housing screws.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the screws to 0.9 N.m (8 lb in).

  18. Install the left air temperature actuator.
  19. Install the left air temperature actuator screws.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the screws to 0.9 N.m (8 lb in).

  20. Install the HVAC module assembly. Refer to HVAC Module Assembly Replacement .
