Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Pontiac Montana, 2002 Oldsmobile Silhouette, and 2002 Chevrolet Venture. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Connect the push rod to the mode actuator. See Figure.
  2. Connect the push rod (3) to the retainer clip.
  3. Inspect that the actuator push rod is not binding on the mode door lever.

  4. Install the mode actuator.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  5. Install the mode actuator retaining screws.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the screws to 1.6 N.m (14 lb in).

  6. If necessary, adjust the mode door linkage. Refer to MODE LINKAGE ADJUSTMENT .
  7. Install the knee bolster to the IP. Refer to KNEE BOLSTER REPLACEMENT .
