Heater Mode - Auxiliary
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Pontiac Montana, 2002 Oldsmobile Silhouette, and 2002 Chevrolet Venture. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
The optional auxiliary HVAC system allows the back seat passenger to adjust the temperature of the air directed to the rear of the vehicle using the auxiliary temperature switch. The fuse block provides power to the auxiliary air temperature actuator through the ignition 3 voltage circuit. When a desired temperature setting is selected, a signal is sent from the auxiliary HVAC control module to the auxiliary air temperature actuator through the auxiliary air temperature door control circuit. When the logic receives the signal, the auxiliary air temperature actuator moves the temperature door to a position to divert sufficient air past the heater core to achieve the desired vehicle temperature. Ground is provided by the ground circuit.
