Air Speed - Front Control: Notes
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Pontiac Montana, 2002 Oldsmobile Silhouette, and 2002 Chevrolet Venture. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
The vehicle operator determines the blower motor's speed when the driver places the blower switch in one of 5 blower speed positions. The blower motor will operate in any switch position other than OFF, as long as the ignition switch is in the RUN position.
Depending upon the selected blower speed, power is provided to the blower motor from either the ignition 3 voltage or battery positive voltage circuits. The battery positive voltage circuit only provides power to the blower motor when in High speed. Power and ground are provided to the HVAC control module by the ignition 3 voltage and the ground circuits.
