Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the cover (2) from the upper seat belt anchor.
  2. Use the J 29843-9  in order to remove the bolt (1) securing the upper seat belt anchor from the rear window pillar (3).
  3. Remove the upper seat belt anchor from the rear window pillar (3).
  4. Raise the carpeting in order to expose the lower seat belt anchor bolt (5).
  5. Use the J 29843-9  in order to remove the bolt (5) securing the lower seat belt anchor (4) from the floor.

  6. Remove the plastic trim cover from the rear window pillar (3) trim panel. Slide the belt webbing through the slot.
  7. Remove the driver's side rear quarter trim with RPO-C34, rear A/C only. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - REAR QUARTER LOWER .
  8. Use the J 29843-9  in order to remove the bolt securing the retractor from the rear window pillar.
  9. Remove the retractor side seat belt from the vehicle.
  10. Remove the retractor from the vehicle.
