Removal Procedure

CAUTION: Refer to ELECTRIC COOLANT FAN CAUTION .
CAUTION: To help avoid personal injury or damage to the vehicle, a bent, cracked, or damaged fan blade or housing should always be replaced.

Important:  If abnormal noise or vibration is felt from the engine compartment, inspect and clean any foreign material from the cooling fan blades.

  1. Turn the ignition off.
  2. Remove the cooling fans with the cooling fan shroud. Refer to COOLING FAN REPLACEMENT - Electric .

    Important:  Turn the cooling fan nut clockwise to loosen.

  3. Remove the cooling fan nut.
  4. Remove the cooling fan.
