Enabling the SIR System

- Connect the seat belt pretensioner - RF connector (3) located under the front passenger seat.
- Install the connector position assurance (CPA) to the seat belt pretensioner - RF connector (3).
- Connect the inflatable restraint side impact module - RF connector (4) located under the front passenger seat.
- Install the CPA to the side impact module - RF connector (4).
- Connect the seat belt pretensioner - LF connector (3) located under the driver seat.
- Install the CPA to the seat belt pretensioner - LF connector (3).
- Connect the inflatable restraint side impact module - LF connector (4) located under the driver seat.
- Install the CPA to the side impact module - LF connector (4).
- Connect the inflatable restraint IP module connector (1) located behind the RH insulator panel.
- Install the CPA to the IP module connector (1).
- Install the RH insulator panel.
- Connect the inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil connector (2) located at the base of the steering column.
- Install the CPA (3) to the steering wheel module coil connector (2).
- Install the LH insulator panel.
- Install the SDM Fuse.
- Install the fuse block access cover.
- Staying well away from all inflator modules and pretensioners, turn ON the ignition.
- 17.1. The AIR BAG indicator will flash seven times.
- 17.2. The AIR BAG indicator will then turn OFF.
- Perform Diagnostic System Check - SIR if the AIR BAG indicator does not operate as described.
