Vehicle On The Ground

  1. Release fuel system pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE  . Disconnect fuel feed line at fuel rail and install 3/8" x 1/4" quick-connect from Fuel Flow/Pressure Adapter (SA9127E-7) into fuel feed line.
  2. Connect a suitable drain hose to other end of adapter and connect drain hose into a certified fuel handling cart. Connect scan tool to data link connector located under left side of dash. Turn ON the ignition. Energize fuel pump using scan tool. Pump out fuel until no more than 1/4 tank remains.
