Heated Oxygen Sensor: Notes

CAUTION: The Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) uses a permanently attached pigtail and connector. Do not remove this pigtail from the HO2S. Damage or the removal of the pigtail or the connector could affect the proper operation of the sensor. Take care when handling the HO2S. The HO2S is easier to remove if the exhaust system is slightly warmed up. Moving the sensor back and forth while applying penetrating oil to the threads will aid in removal and will decrease the chance of exhaust pipe thread damage.
