Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Buick Regal and 2003 Buick Century. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove the windshield pillar garnish moldings. Refer to GARNISH MOLDING REPLACEMENT -WINDSHIELD PILLAR in Interior Trim.
    IMPORTANT: Remove the upper trim panel slowly. The retainer clips could possibly fall into the instrument panel (I/P).
  2. Lift the I/P upper trim panel up approximately 51 mm (2 in). Pull rearward to release the I/P upper trim panel retainers.
  3. Rotate the ambient light sensor counterclockwise to release the sensor from the I/P upper trim panel.

  4. If equipped, rotate the sun load sensor counterclockwise to release the sensor from the I/P upper trim panel.
  5. Remove the I/P upper trim panel.
