Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Pontiac Montana, 2002 Oldsmobile Silhouette, and 2002 Chevrolet Venture. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Align the front impact bar to the frame rail.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  2. Install the front impact bar bolts to the frame rail.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  3. Install the front bumper energy absorber to the front impact bar.
  4. Install the push-in retainers to the front bumper energy absorber.
  5. Install the front bumper fascia. Refer to Fascia Replacement - Front Bumper (Pontiac)  or Fascia Replacement - Front Bumper (Chevrolet)  or Fascia Replacement - Front Bumper (Oldsmobile) .
