Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rear bumper fascia. Refer to Fascia Replacement - Rear Bumper (Oldsmobile)  or Fascia Replacement - Rear Bumper (Pontiac) .
  2. Remove the rear object sensor wiring harness from the rear energy absorber, if equipped.
  3. Remove the rear energy absorber from the rear bumper fascia by pushing in on the locking tabs at the center of the rear bumper fascia and pulling out.
