Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the side door molding. Refer to Molding Replacement - Body Side Door (Oldsmobile)  or Molding Replacement - Body Side Door (Pontiac) .
  2. Use a J 25070  to heat the upper edge of the molding retainer using a circular motion 152 mm (6 in) from the retainer for 30 seconds.
    NOTE: Refer to EXTERIOR TRIM EMBLEM REMOVAL NOTICE .
  3. Use a plastic flat-bladed tool to remove the retainer from the sliding door outer panel.
