Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the screws from the lower front of the quarter wheel opening molding.
  2. Starting at the rear and working forward, pull up on the quarter wheel opening molding.
  3. Pull up and out to release the quarter wheel opening molding from the front support.

  4. Pull out and down to release the lower quarter wheel opening molding locating retainers.
  5. Remove the quarter wheel opening molding from the quarter panel.
  6. Pull out the center pins of the quarter wheel opening molding support retainers.
  7. Use a J 25070  152 mm (6 in) from the surface to heat the quarter wheel opening molding support. Use a circular motion to apply heat for 30 seconds.
  8. Use a plastic flat-bladed tool to remove the quarter wheel opening molding support from the surface.
  9. Remove the quarter wheel opening molding support from the quarter panel.
  10. Use oil-free naphtha or alcohol to clean the body panel.
  11. Remove all traces of adhesive from the body panel.
